- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 1 cup Beer
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne
- 1 tsp Sea salt
- 2 cups Sharp cheddar cheese
Melt the butter in a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat.
Whisk in the flour, stirring continuously for 2-3 minutes.
Slowly add the beer, whisking continuously.
Add the milk, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne, and salt.
Allow the sauce to thicken, stirring often, over about 6-7 minutes.
Slowly add about 1/4 cup of cheese at a time, whisking to smooth the sauce.
Once all the cheese is added and the sauce is smooth, serve immediately.
