Pizza Dough
- 1 tsp Instant yeast
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Sea salt
- 2/3 cup Warm water
- 2 tsp Olive oil
- 1⅔ cup Bread flour
Pizza Toppings
- 1/2 pound Canadian bacon
- 1/2 pound Bacon, cooked
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 cups Romaine lettuce, shredded
- 1 Roma tomato, diced
Pizza Dough
Combine instant yeast, sugar, salt, oil, water, and flour in a stand mixer.
Using the dough hook, knead the dough for 6-8 minutes.
Cover and allow to rise at room temperature for 1½-2 hours.
Pizza sauce
Simmer the tomato sauce, basil, and oregano for 5-10 minutes over medium heat. Once the sauce has slightly reduced, remove from the heat to cool.
Preparing the Pizza
Preheat the oven to 425℉.
Spread the dough into a 12-14 inch circle on a lightly floured work surface.
Place the dough onto the pizza pan and spread sauce over the entire dough, leaving about 1/2 inch around the outside un-sauced.
Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella onto the pizza.
Evenly distribute the canadian bacon and cooked bacon pieces over the cheese.
Add the remainder of the mozzarella cheese onto the top of the meat.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is browned and the cheese is hot and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before adding the fresh toppings.
Fill a small plastic bag with 2 tbsp of mayonnaise and cut the tip of the bag to pipe the mayonnaise onto the pizza.
Sprinkle the lettuce over the entire pizza.
Top with freshly diced tomatoes.
Serve immediately.
