Ingredients
 

Brownie batter

German Chocolate Frosting

  • 2 Egg, beaten
  • 1⅓ cup Milk
  • 1⅓ cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 cups Unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 3/4 cup Pecans, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉.
  • In a 4 quart saucepan, combine:
    2 beaten eggs
    1⅓ cup Milk
    1⅓ cup Sugar
    1/2 cup Butter
  • Turn the burner on medium and slowly bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Simmer ingredients for 10-15 minutes, or until the frosting has thickened.
  • Remove from the heat and add the coconut flakes and chopped pecans.
  • Allow the frosting to cool while preparing the brownies.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine:
    3/4 cup Butter, melted
    1⅔ cups Sugar
    2 Eggs
    2 tsp Vanilla extract
    2 tbsp Water
  • Mix in the dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix:
    1½ cups Flour
    3/4 cup Cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp Baking powder
    1/4 tsp Sea salt
  • Grease a 13x9 baking dish and pour the brownie batter into the dish.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the brownies comes out clean.
  • Cool for 20 minutes before frosting.
  • Spread the frosting over the entire brownies, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes before serving.
