- 1 Pound Argentine shrimp
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1½ cups Heavy cream
- 2 cups Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1/2 tsp Sea salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 Pound Fettuccini
Prepare the fettuccini according to the package instructions for al dente pasta. Drain and return to the stockpot.
Melt the butter in a 2 quart saucepan.
Add the garlic and simmer for one minute.
Whisk in the heavy cream and bring to a slow simmer.
Slowly add the parmesan cheese, whisking continuously to prevent clumping.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add the shrimp to the sauce, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Pour the alfredo sauce over the fettuccini and toss for 2-3 minutes to coat the pasta with sauce.
If the sauce is thin, pasta water can be added, 1 tbsp at a time to thicken.
Serve immediately.
