Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped shrimp and garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and fully cooked.
Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly while preparing the rest of the ingredients.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, salt, pepper, cajun, cayenne, and lemon juice to create a smooth base.
Add the bell peppers, green onions, cheeses, and shrimp. Stir to combine.
Transfer the dip into a 2 quart baking dish and spread to smooth out the top.
Bake for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
Remove the dip and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
