- 2 pounds Mushrooms
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 Red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, crushed
- 1/2 cup Plain breadcrumbs
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded
- 1/4 tsp Sea salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- 1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper
Rince and remove the stems from the mushrooms. Save the stems and finely chop for the stuffing.
Place the mushrooms in a 13x9 baking dish.
Preheat the oven to 400℉.
Melt the butter in a small cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped mushroom pieces, red onion, and chopped garlic.
Sauté until the mushrooms and onions are soft.
Remove the skillet from the heat and add the breadcrumbs, parmesan, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Stir to combine all the ingredients.
Fill each mushroom with 1-2 tbsp of filling.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Allow the mushrooms to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
