Ingredients
 

  • 2 pounds Mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 Red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 cup Plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded
  • 1/4 tsp Sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper

Instructions
 

  • Rince and remove the stems from the mushrooms. Save the stems and finely chop for the stuffing.
  • Place the mushrooms in a 13x9 baking dish.
  • Preheat the oven to 400℉.
  • Melt the butter in a small cast iron skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped mushroom pieces, red onion, and chopped garlic.
  • Sauté until the mushrooms and onions are soft.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and add the breadcrumbs, parmesan, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Stir to combine all the ingredients.
  • Fill each mushroom with 1-2 tbsp of filling.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Allow the mushrooms to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
